ROCKFORD, TN – Remote Area Medical-RAM™ and its Disaster Relief Team are heading to Texas to support relief efforts in the wake of Hurricane Harvey. RAM is asking our Corps of Humanitarians to volunteer today! We are currently in need of physicians, nurses, EMTs, paramedics, truck drivers, veterinarians and general support volunteers who are willing to do heavy lifting. Volunteers who own flat bottom boats or vehicles capable of operation in high-water areas are in high-demand in the affected flood areas near Houston.
Volunteers will need to bring tents, sleeping bags, food and supplies for the duration of their time volunteering. Volunteers will be responsible for all of their travel expenses. Please do not make travel arrangements until you have corresponded with a RAM volunteer representative and they have specifically instructed you to move forward with plans.
